Import, export, delete, and restore characters

What you will accomplish

Manage SillyTavern files and restore deleted work within 30 days.

Before you start

• Sign in to the correct Banno account.
• Keep this guide open beside the product.

Steps

1. Open Studio and select a character.
2. Use Import character for a supported SillyTavern PNG or JSON file.
3. Use Export card from the edit page when you need a backup.
4. Deleted work moves to Trash.
5. Open Trash and choose Restore before the displayed permanent-deletion date.

The saved value or confirmation appears on screen and remains after one refresh.

If it does not work

• Confirm that you are signed in to the intended account and have the required permission.
• Repeat the steps once and read the complete on-screen error before closing it.
• Contact support with the page link, time, and exact error text. Never send an API key or payment card number.
